About.

INSPIRED BY LIFE.

“For those of you who know how to read, I have painted my autobiography.”
-Picasso

Everything I use to make work is in my life – it’s a matter of what I come across, what I look at and what I pay attention to: art, science, music, literature, politics, the earth, the sea, the sky, people, memories, the big questions … I process the input by making stuff.

“When I haven’t any blue, I use red.”
-Picasso

I aim for the mind rather than the eye: the idea behind a work is more important than the medium.  I use whatever medium is on hand – relief printing, screen printing, collage (analogue & digital), cyanotype, paint, textile & assemblage.

Let’s talk.

EMAIL IS BEST.

I welcome visitors to my studio but I’m often not there, when the hills or the sea or the bright lights of the big city call.
