Kilmartin Glen in Argyll is one of the richest prehistoric landscapes in Scotland, with many standing stones that were probably erected more than 3,500 years ago.
These linocuts feature cup & ring markings from rock outcrops at Glasvaar, and some standing stones. The meaning of the cup and ring markings is unknown. One possibility is that they were used to chart the movement of the sun, moon and stars.
